Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-08
Pixmood is a mood journal designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with your data. The short answer: it sends it nowhere.
Your data stays on your device
All your mood entries, notes, tags and settings are stored only on your device, in a local SQLite database. There is no network layer for user data. Pixmood does not send your data to a server, because there is no server to send it to.
No account, no sign-in
You do not need to create an account, provide an email or sign in to use Pixmood. The app works fully without an internet connection.
No analytics, trackers or ads
The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDK. No Firebase, Mixpanel, Segment or Sentry. The tracking flag in the iOS Privacy Manifest is off.
Permissions
Pixmood asks only for minimal permissions tied to features you use: biometric (for the app lock), notification (for the daily reminder) and photo (to save a share card to your gallery). No camera, location, contacts or health data is requested.
Data portability
From Settings you can export and import all of your data as JSON. Your data is yours; you can take it or delete it any time. When you delete the app, the data on your device is removed too.
Children
Pixmood is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children. It does not collect data from anyone.
Backups
On Android, automatic cloud backup is disabled so your journal data does not leak into third-party backups.
Compliance
Pixmood is designed to align with GDPR and KVKK principles. Because no data is collected, the personal data processed is minimal.
This website
This website follows the same principle. Zero analytics, zero trackers, zero cookies. The site is fully static and does not track you.
